The Psychology of Artists Who Tweet “I Need Beats”

With the millions of beat videos and beat marketplace beats why would artists still tweet out that they "need beats"?

It is actually simple.

There are some artists who are actually looking for more than just some beats.

They are actually in need of a friend and someone they can connect to who produces beats.

Can You Be A Beat Buddy?

Some artists are seeking a "beat buddy" and Twitter is one of the best ways to find one.

Ultimately, these "beat needer" artists would like to form a (virtual) relationship via DM's and friendly, casual @replies where you'd ideally send them more beats and yes, depending on the artist, they will certainly and eventually pay you for your beats if they like them and as the relationship furthers.

Although we've suggested posting a reply-embed of your Beat Players or Beat Videos to the "i need beats" posts posted by artists, what you should really be doing is communicating with the artist, asking them what exactly they are looking for as well as what their ultimate plan and goals are.

You never know who might be the next "online social" indie artist to blow up on a major level.

Sometimes its just that one beat they need.
